Description

Velvety garlic chicken and rice bowls in a single pan. Tender chicken, aromatic rice, and rich garlic cream sauce create a balanced family meal with minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale

1.5 lbs boneless chicken breast, cut into 1-inch pieces
1.5 cups long grain white rice, rinsed
6 large garlic cloves, minced or pressed
3 cups low sodium chicken broth
1/2 cup heavy cream, room temperature
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
Sea salt to taste

Instructions

Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper
Heat olive oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven until shimmering
Sear chicken in single layer until golden brown, 2-3 minutes per side
Remove chicken and set aside in a bowl
Add garlic to same pan, sauté 30 seconds
Return chicken with juices to pan
Add rice, broth, and salt (to taste)
Bring to boil, simmer 10 minutes
Stir in heavy cream, reduce heat, and cover
Simmer 5-8 minutes, until rice is tender and sauce thickens
Remove from heat, let rest 5 minutes
Garnish with parsley

Notes

Rinsing rice prevents clumping
Room temperature cream blends smoothly
Adjust broth/salt to taste
Garnish with lemon wedges if desired
