Description

A rich and flavorful one-pan meal featuring succulent shrimp seared in aromatic garlic butter and served over perfectly cooked white rice. This American-fusion dish is ideal for busy weeknights, offering bold flavors and a hassle-free cleanup.

Ingredients

Large Shrimp – 1 lb (peeled, deveined, tail-on)
Long-Grain White Rice – 1.5 cups (rinsed thoroughly to remove excess starch)
Unsalted Butter – 4 tbsp (high-quality grass-fed preferred)
Garlic Cloves – 6 cloves (freshly minced for maximum potency)
Chicken or Vegetable Broth – 3 cups (low sodium to control salt levels)
Fresh Parsley – 1/4 cup (chopped for garnish)
Grated Lemon Zest – 1 tsp
Lemon Juice – 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Black Pepper to taste

Instructions

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted and hot, add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add shrimp to the skillet and sear for 1 to 2 minutes per side until just pink and slightly golden.
Push the shrimp to the sides of the pan and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. When melted, stir in the rice and coat it well with the garlic-infused butter for 2 minutes.
Pour in the broth, add a generous pinch of salt and black pepper, then stir to combine. Allow it to come to a rolling simmer.
Reduce heat to medium-low, cover the skillet, and let it cook undisturbed for 15-18 minutes. The moisture should be absorbed, and the rice should be tender.
Gently fold in the cooked shrimp, stir in lemon zest and juice, and let it warm through for 1-2 minutes.
Turn off the heat and garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For best flavor, use fresh garlic and high-quality rice.
If preparing ahead, let the dish sit for 5 minutes before serving to allow the rice to fluff.
This recipe is best served immediately after cooking to preserve the texture of the shrimp.
